Gary Fogarty

gf Gary Fogarty is the genuine article, a boy from the bush who makes no excuses for the fact that he derives his inspiration from the humour, the strength, the ingenuity and the spirit of the many characters he has encountered in a life time spent living and working in rural Australia. Cheeky, quick-witted and a fiercely proud Australian, he writes from the heart and tells it exactly as he sees it. No glossy covers here, what you see is what you get, this uniquely talented performer is equally at home delivering his energy packed shows to appreciative crowds at the Gympie Muster, as he is addressing company directors at a high flying corporate conference.

Gary Fogarty is much sought after as a compere for a wide variety of events such as the Gympie Muster, Country Music Festivals and community festivals. Gary has established himself as a roving announcer at a variety of events and festivals. His ability to involve festival visitors to the extent that they feel they have been a part of the proceedings plays a large role in creating a friendly atmosphere and proves beneficial for the event organizers, sponsors and visitors alike; for example, at the Charleville Camel Races and the Australian Camp Oven Festival.

Gary has performed at a wide range of both public and private functions ranging from major festivals, concerts, television and radio to small community fund raisers. It is testimony to his talent that is the vast majority of instances he is invited back time and time again. Some of the major events the Gympie Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival and Beef 2006 at Rockhampton.

Gary Fogarty has entertained large and small audiences as an after dinner speaker for a number of corporate functions. He has delivered both hilarious and thought provoking material to captivated audiences for organisations such as, Qld Assn of Local Authority CEO's, Saleyards Association of Qld and the Australian Rural Nurses Conference.

Gary is sort after for writing commissioned poems and widely regarded as a leader in this field. He can research and write a commissioned poem as he has done for many organisations, businesses and individuals including those people looking for that unique gift or keepsake, which can be the ultimate presentation for that special occasion.

Gary Fogarty conducts Poetry Workshops which are tailored to the participants needs. The easy to understand writing workshops can be adapted to suits both adults and children and highlight the enjoyment that is to be gained from writing bush poetry. The Performing workshops are easy to understand turn the often daunting task of public performance into a fun filled learning experience. Both workshops are adaptable to suit different age groups, ability levels and group sizes. These workshops are interactive and encourage participants to contribute.
