It’s Ooh La La in Wallabadah since Mimi came to town,
The social scene is better by far, not one face wears a frown.
She licks her lips and wiggles her hips and strings the boys along,
a classy dame, enjoying the game, no sense of right and wrong.
I sauntered by, attempting to try, to show my deep regard,
she didn’t care, her head in the air, my heart forever scarred.
But, hip hooray! it happened one day, beneath a shining sun,
her path and mine were set to combine and we would join as one.
My heart beat strong, but wasn’t too long till I would see her face
and I would be the envy you see of ev’ry male in the place.
I primped and preened till I fairly gleamed, I’d not be matched by half,
then one day soon when the wattle’s in bloom, there’ll be a bonny calf!
