For all of our poets who might be in total lockdown - our thoughts are with you. But please just follow directions and the sooner every does that the sooner we can start to get back to a degree of the new normal that we all so desperately want. Please stay safe.
On the plus side perhaps you now have a little extra time to devote to your poetry writing In the interest of keeping our Aussie lingo alive, in all of its uniqueness and whimsy - let us see what you can manage to magic by using these old saying ..... as always use one or as many as you can.
Two snags short of a barbie
Dumb as a box of hammers
Lower than a snake's belly.
Useless as a chocolate teapot
You could ride to Bourke on that knife and never cut your bum
As useless as a hip pocket on a singlet.
Now this should be an interesting exercise - go to it my lovelies

Good thinking Maureen
It's getting to the stage of, use it or lose it, as they say.
I think this forum is getting to be a bit like that as well!
Cheers
