Homework 15/11/21 'The Dance of Love'

I'm off for the weekend today, heading to Toodyay for The W.A. Champs.
So had to rush this one through - may do a bit more to it when I get back?
Well Finally, I managed to redo this a little.
The Dance Of Love
I marvel at the skill of modern dancers as they twirl,
so sure of foot and movement as around the hall they whirl.
The Tango is a dance of passion, setting hearts afire,
to tease your mind - what more could lovers of to-day desire.
And yet, I long still for the old-time dancing of my day,
with just that hint of romance, as we danced the nights away.
There were no black tuxedos worn back in those days of yore,
yet many new loves surely blossomed on the old dance floor.
‘Ah,’ I remember how it was back then and always will,
such happy carefree times, the memories now linger still.
The girls on chairs and dressed to then impress as I recall,
while all the blokes would hover near the back door of the hall.
A time of innocence, compared to what we see today
the days of shacking up and free love, were then years away
And champagne towers never sighted at the old dance hall;
old fashioned! But I wouldn’t change a single thing at all?
Then came the night I saw you there, a flash of eyes at first,
And then that smile of yours, and truth be known, my heart near burst.
And like so many couples there, a bond was formed that night
A dance of passion maybe – or a time that seemed just right
