No - I doubt it is imagination - rather the spirits left behind reaching out I always think. I too have experienced similar although in my case it was when I was visiting for the first and last time - Bald Rock at Tenterfield. It completely spooked me and I had no idea why, but never wished to go back there. Years later, long after I had left the property at Stanthorpe and whilst doing some research for a poem I came across the story ... how the overseer of Bolivia Station had driven a group of aborigines over the cliff to their death. All because they supposedly had killed and eaten some of his sheep. Those poor souls never received justice.
