Lost Poet

Post by Glenny Palmer » Sat Sep 07, 2013 12:24 am

Does anyone remember a poet called Carol, who married Doug in the Butter Factory at Kingston some years ago? (It was a really lovely wedding. Very different, but pleasantly memorable.) I can't recall their last name but they moved to Kingaroy. The BBB's are having a 10 year reunion & wish to invite them. I think Doug was a Pine Rivers member, but not sure.
Many thanks
Glenny

G'day Glenny,
I hope this helps, it is the last known address of Doug Hutchinson that I have,
Hutcheson Doug 10 Sylvania St. Logan Central Qld 4114 07 3209 3720

and Carol's details before they were married,
Stratford Carol 10 Sylvania St Woodridge Qld 4114

I'll search further for you, they appear to have the same address in different suburbs.

Goodonya Frank. Many thanks. I was looking for them to invite them to the BBB's poet group's 10th anniversary celebration....but that is long over now. However, your info alerts me to the spelling of their name. I did visit them in Kingaroy centuries ago, where they moved from the Logan area after they were married. There's no urgency now but it would be nice to see how they are getting along as I know Doug's health wasn't too flash at one stage. Also I wonder how their German Shepherd called Glenny is going. ( :? )
Hope you're going goodo old mate.

The Carol and Doug I knew were abducted by aliens in 2007 and after being returned to Earth became involved in a highly unsuccessful attempt to return Alexander Downer to power as PM. Shortly after, I believe, they were abducted by free verse poets and were last seen sleeping under a tree at the National Wanker Festival in Canberra, minus their clothes and dignity. May not be the ones you are looking for, but close.

Happy to help

Since when does holding onto your crutch have anything to do with having a sense of humour Bill , I reckon you should try it for once.

Not everyone gets Neil's sense of humour. Perhaps you'd like to rephrase that Bill since it's the new year and we are all being nice to one another this week... :)
