Dear Bill, your passion is admirable, but trying bludgeon people into handing over some their works to a great 'unknown' is innapropriate!! Trying so shame those people who may not wish to, will not win you many friends.

Maybe you could show a good grasp of what's required by presenting proposed layouts and artworks, cost of publishing, copyright issues and disclaimers. And most importantly, method and costs of distribution ... and NEW market penetration.

With respect,

Manfred.

Bill, I'm with Peely. I'm a forum moderator who has the job of making sure there is no offensive material on the site and that it is suitable viewing for children of primary school age. I take this task seriously and read every single post. This takes a fair amount of reading and also diplomacy when editing is required.

I told you back at Bungendore in February this year that I did not have the facilities to record. I even took a tape recording to Bungendore for you to hear but the quality was crap and I would not want my work produced with poor quality. I was however, happy to contribute to a project if the ABPA was to benefit.

I am also a new comer to bush poetry - less than 2 years. It is a hobby. I am finding my way and learning. One day, when I get time I would like to be able to spread the word about bush poetry - whether it be working with children like Neville and Bob or helping out in some other fashion but right now I've got a whole lot of other things happening in my life.

I object to being called lazy. I have a household to run, children to care for, a husband with a business, a part time job, health issues, a sick dog to care for, two committees that I contribute to, my volunteer work and I am working on a book - all of which takes up a good part of my week. I have always contributed to my community and given thousands of hours of my time as a volunteer.

I commend you on your enthusiasm Bill but you can't bludgeon people as Manfred says. Do what Manfred has suggested and then maybe present your proposal to the committee to sift through all the issues.

sincerely,
Heather
