Laggan Bush Dance
Re: Laggan Bush Dance
Lovely to hear that good old fashioned entertainment was well received. Once again you've taken me back to some wonderful memories - I'm starting to sound like an old person, "I remember when I was a girl ...."

G'day Marty,
Where are the photos of the bush dance?
I heard Lorraine McCrimmon took out the prize for 'best dressed'.

Yair I know that one, one of of the occupational hazards of the bush poet I'm afraid.Martyboy wrote:The poets had a pretty hard time getting the attention of the blokes round the bar or at the far end of the room as old friends renewed acquaintances or discussed .....
There was a bloke in the US, used to fire a a gun in the air, get's people's attention real good...

Sounds like a great night. The theatrical society sounds like a better chance for poetry performance, good wishes for that.
I did wonder how the 200 hundred people at the Laggan Hall managed in the meantime until their toilet block is built....don't answer that.
