Congratulations Kym!!! I'm still trying to get over nerves every time I get up to do a poem!!!
Great to see you up there performing finally!! Look forward to seeing it myself one day - your poems are so wonderful, and you will get them across just how you intended them to be.

And Bob - Kym got away with Jelly Melons as it is a topic that is very relevant to women, and brings out a subject that people find hard to talk about!!! You just have to pick the right subject!! ;) Nice and clean, and relevant!!! :o

G'day Irene and everyone,

Not meaning to discourage anyone but... Even John Farnham still gets nervous before going on to perform. How many years and shows has he done? My own experience is that, I respond to who is in the audience. If there is someone I really respect or admire watching, I am almost dumb struck, but if it is a room full of strangers I'm OK. Anyway I consider myself a writer rather than a performer. I mostly have a go at the performing comps to have my poems heard (and hope I don't muck them up too much).
