really general topic
G'day everyone,
I don't usually bother poets with non-poetry stuff but..
My son and his partner are participating in a 'Win a Wedding' competition and need internet votes to get through to the finals. They have had a terrible year which I won't go into. I hope that all my friends (in poetry) will get behind us and vote for them. You are only allowed one vote per email address. So it will only take a moment of your time and could change their lives for the better.
Go to the 'Out in Canberra' website and look for the "Win a Wedding' contest and follow the pink spot to vote for Adam and Nicole. You will also get to see my adorable son. Thank you so much.

Thank You Maureen,
I only hope he thinks to ask the whole school where he teaches to vote. I missed out on a custom made Ukulele by about 6 votes. So every one counts.

Thanks everyone who voted.
I'm not holding my breath - but as they say - someone has to win.
I emailed my son and asked him if he thought to ask the senior kids at his school to vote. He had, and they did.
It would be fantastic if they win.. They have said they were not going to get married, then this was watered down to 'maybe one day' - so when we saw they had entered this competition we were a little excited.
Between Adam and Nicole they have three sisters. I am inclined to say; "Give the three sisters permission and they will arrange a great wedding for you." But I don't want to put any pressure on them.
I am going to hand out a little flyer at my Ukulele class on Wednesday and hope to pick up a few more votes.
In case you would like to vote - go to "Out IN Canberra" and look for the competition Vote for Adam and Nicole. One vote per email address.
