Better get your fancy detector and head for Wedderburn, Victoria.
I heard on the news that a bloke has turned up a 2kg nugget of gold in those parts. Of course it might be the only nugget left to be found.

I remember as a kid them finding a real big nugget (like several kilos) near Wedderburn - I think they called it 'The pride of Australia'

The news article said that this one is much smaller than the Pride of Australia. The finder is going to call it the Fair Dinkum Nugget.

Only 25 kms from there was found the worlds biggest nugget (THE WELCOME STRANGER) and that was at Moligal
The following nuggets found within 30 ks are by size

WAS FOUND BY TWO YOUNG BOYS WHO WAGGED SCHOOL ON THE FRIDAY AND WERE CHASING RABBITS AND SO THEY HID IT TILL THE NEXT DAY WHICH WAS A SATURDAY AND THEN SHOWED IT TO THEIR FATHERS SO THEY WOULD NOT GET INTO TROUBLE WAGGING IT
