I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

I don't like any of you I just get on the site cause I've got nothing else to do and my life is so full of people that I barely get time to even put up a post now and then.
Oh did I tell ya's I lie as well,
Cheers all From Nigel No Life.

The purpose in life is to have fun.

Oh dear No L - you are one sorry puppy
You're not home long enough to know whether you have a life or not Mate from what I can see. I reckon you are living the life of riley up there.
Lovely warm weather, surrounded by a constant stream of female visitors, having your dogs who love you more than any human on earth ever will, being lauded and applauded by total strangers and doing something you love doing and are good at....sounds like bloody Paradise IMO. Be careful for what you wish for - you might get it and find it lacking Mate
.
Oh I see you spoke in jest

... and thank you right back Kym, couldn't have put it better myself.
It's funny how we all feel like we know one another, that we're not just faceless people out in cyber land and we felt that way even before some of us met in real life.
I am a member of a couple of other forums (not poetry) and I haven't got that sort of rapport in any of them. Just goes to show we poetry people are a weird mob, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Manfred you've got to do something about that baby blue - it's awful!
Looking forward to meeting you one day Sue. You've fitted right in!
You too Dave, although I feel like I've known you forever really.

Re: Have I ever said "thank you"?
Last Saturday I went to the Lawson Society meeting in Melbourne. They co-run the Bryan Kelleher awards and the newsletter editor had either emailed or rung all those who had entered and offered them six months free membership. What he discovered was a whole lot of lonely poets out there in remote places who desperately wanted to share their poetry either by reading it over the phone or emailing him. I couldn't help but thinking -hey people, there is a place you can do that! It made me sad to think they are all alone.

Always a pleasure Kym, wish I could visit more often.
Oi! Heather, was I just a fading fleeting memory of your trip

Dave, oh, my goodness. Soooo, sorry Dave. It was a quick cuppa wasn't it? Of course I didn't forget you - just forgot to write about you! Ooops!
What I do remember is standing on the corner at McDonalds in Cairns (it was raining people) waiting for Dave to arrive and getting some really funny sideways looks. I moved away from the corner a bit after a few looks!! What were they thinking?
