Kym Mate Cobber sorry misunderstanding.
The crybaby faces were for me not being able to go to Bundy wiff ya’s all. I got it about your block being on its side a bit like Banjo Paterson’s “A Mountain Station.” Bobs idea at his caravan park sund’y arvo sounds like a go’er. or Saturd’y an Sund’y.

God man goes up to rocky to watch his grandson play footy and when he comes back it's like he does not exist. Bloody women just take over and make plans. I can not get off work until Friday at least as July is usually pretty busy so will have to motor down on my own.

Sorry to hear your little mate is going a bit doo lally Kym...they certainly do suffer from senility the same as people.
Mahalia was badly abused before I got her..we suspect kicked as well as beaten with a stick..she is now going in her back legs. She has injections for the arthritis every 6 weeks she is on an opium type medication three times a day to make sure she is pain free but there is nerve damage and nothing will repair that. She is literally only using 3 legs now and the muscle on her rear left leg is withering away so she only has one leg to get her too he feet. She spends most of her time under the house now where it is cooler as she has trouble with the stairs, and she has had a few falls that have frightened her. She can no longer jump into the ute.
I won't let her suffer that is for sure and am prepared to do what has to be done when the time comes. For now though she still enjoys her tucker, has an occasional game of very short duration with her sister, can't go for walks anymore so she is housebound but she is a wonderful guard dog, still has her lovely smile and wagging tail 98% of the time and loves it when Gran comes to visit or the littlies. But I do think she is walking the walk. Her health otherwise heart, kidneys etc is good - so I take it one day at time. We are getting old together, and she is very much loved.
I did consider a hip replacement for her ... expensive at $7000 - but there are no guarantees it will help her..she has a bit of hip dysplasia in both hips, a lot of arthritis but the main problem is the nerve damage. We'll get there Kym. What will be will be...and she has had nothing but the best since I have had her and she does know how much the whole family love here. She won our hearts with her bravery and willingness to try to overcome the many issues she had.

Cheers
Maureen

For me, old dogs, old mates and VERY old Scotch (or Irish) whiskey ...
Children? They're aways welcome, but they can't have the scotch ...

Dave, don't be sad about missing out on Bundy, our Poonie/Parkie Poem Party aka Dave Fest will be fun too! Are you interested in me showing you a few of the local points of interest while you are here? We could go to Capricorn Resort - it's really pretty. We could go camel riding on the beach. I took IRene there when she visited me. Or perhaps you aren't interested in camels? They don't spit ... really!!!
Maureen, your dogs look so clean! Ours always look scruffy and dirty cos they are rotten little mouse-chasing, burr-collecting, horse-poo-munching farm dogs. I get them clipped often but the darned hair just grows straight back. I'm sure Mahalia has had a much better life for having met you. It sounds liks you are doing a lot for her every day.
Bob, I'm surprised you'd want to be stuck in a car with two females, especially since we aren't your favourite species at the moment. How can we complain about men for four hours straight if there's a bloke in the car???

I rest my case !!!!! Dave
Bob
This was my little dog who i had to get put down last year.
I sit at the doorway panting
Till' you feed me every day
I sit, shake hands and wait until
To eat, you say ok.
I lounge around the yard all day
Bark at the dog next door
I drag the washing off the line
And curl up on it on the floor.
I dig holes in the new garden beds
The smell is oh so neat
The blood and bone you put in there
Makes rolling such a treat.
When you come home I'll lick you
From your face down to your toe
I've licked myself as well today
In places you don't want to know.
I wag my tail and jump about
It gets you in the greatest mood
You think I'm glad to see you
But I'm just checking for more food.
We sit and watch the evening news
I curl up at your feet
You drop little bits of food
That I just have to eat.
We've been together quite a while
Ten years I think I've been alive
If I wasn't here to care for you
I doubt if you'd survive.
Yeah we'll stick it out together
Through the good times till' the end
We were made for one another
And I'll always be your one best friend.
Annie always remembered

Oh don't be a sissy Dave, camel rides are really cool! Good view up there and the ride is pretty slow. It's the going up and down that is pretty hairy. You'd love it.
Heather
