Re: Introducing!!
...do the old Kodak on it Heather..........just let it develope!....I got Poppa, I wasn't too concerned about what they came up with, I wasn't keen on Poppy...never much got into flower power, but other than that I took it pretty much as it came, the song "Pop a top again"...referring to the beer bottle top, was on an album my daughter inlaw had and played a bit at the time and that is where it came from!...
not too sure what she was trying to say.....but anyway that's it!

Re: Introducing!!
Congratulations Heather ... so do tell, was it only ten 'fingers' or ELEVEN?? ...

Re: Introducing!!
It is the fear of the age connotation of "Granny" not the actual name.
I guess I need to be careful as this is not anonymous!
Part of the issue is both sets of Great Grand Parents are still with us (happily) and they get Nana, Pa, Gramps etc so uniqueness is an issue as well.

Re: Introducing!!
Heather and Darren when our first grandkids came they just transferred Nanna from Elaine’s’ Mum
to Elaine and called her Mum Nanny, the great Grandkids call Elaine Grand Nanna, a bit regal I think,
me I am just Pop to all the grandies and their mates, Darren could be just Da.

Re: Introducing!!
Thanks ye all. See, the problem is twofold. Gran.... sounds old - and I AM NOT OLD! I don't feel old, I don't look old -therefore, I am not old. Second, two sets of great grandparents Nana x2 and Pa and Gramps. My grandmother was Nana to me and Gran to my kids.
We find out about extra fingers tonight. Grand announcement at dinner at the pub!
