please, please and if not why not!

G'day Manfred (grovel, grovel Oh fearless Leader,)
Dear Leader, (grovel, crawl, bow, curtsy) is it at all possible to have a spell check put on the forum...?

if not then may I ask, (in my little girl lost voice) why not?

(crawl, bow and scraps, then crawl again) You are so clever, (bat eyelids, and look coy) I am sure you could do it ( crawl, gravel, pull forelock) you're so big and strong, if you just put your shoulder into it (OOOh look at those muscles) you could probably do it without even raising a sweat!

(is that enough feminine whiles to persuade you?)
I didn't count the amount of times I had to check my Macquarie while writing this. It was at least four. One day I am going to post exactly what I type in the first time, and see who can decypher it.

Only thing is Zondrae, the spell check won't identify the wrong word if the wrong word is spelled correctly. e.g. you want the word wiles....

No need to grovel or crawl (so undignified for Bush Poets) Just ask!!

Spell-checker?? - NO!!!

Actually this version of the Forum didn't come with one. I need to install an update that I've been putting off for ages now, it may have one but I doubt it ... Still checking ... :)

G'day Zondrae

You could use the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers. Chrome certainly has a spell check feature (it is the browser I currently use) and it can spell check in Australian English as well (once you change the settings). I haven't used Firefox in some time but do remember that it had a spell check feature. Both of these browser programs are downloadable from the web.
Hopefully they work with Mac Computers if you are going to try them.

Yep that's right and Zondrae throw out your Mac whatever, it missed four

Your feminine wiles might have to wait a while

and then if you are going to scrap with Mannie you won't get anything but if you bow and scrape and grovel well who knows. But don't crawl in the gravel woman it is too hard on the knees :?

and see who can decypher it. but you could decipher it perhaps

But fear not we all knew what you meant ;)

OK,
I give up.

Some of my glitches are typos as I am usually typing in the dark. I guess I will have to put up with checking the dictionry. I have too much trouble with my Mac super mouse to use an outside spell check. One of the reasons my posting numbers have dropped off is this mouse has a sideways function that I don't understand. Often I have a great comment all ready to post but when I go to move the mouse for the post or preview command, it deletes the lot. I have become so exaspirated with it that I give up. On occasion I have done my reply and lost it twice.

G'day Zondrae

The programs that I mentioned do the spell check while you are typing the information into the box on the web (the same way word does when you are writing in a document). They are alternative web browsers to Safari (Apple's own web browser that you may have installed already) - not sure if this is what you are currently using though. You use these instead of your current web browser. There are versions of the two other browsers that I made mention of earlier (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) that will work on Mac computers if your system specs are OK, Google has since informed me.

Zondrae,
what I do is write my posts in Word, edit them and then copy and paste them into the forum.
