Butterfly

Well I found out what that blue butterfly was I found in the park. I sent the picture to the Queensland Museum and they tell me it is a Blue Banded Eggfly. Not a very common species in our area, more likely found up north Queensland so do not know how it got down here.
I'm not so sure as I checked it out on the web and I think they are streaching the mantle a bit.
They reckon their expert has bred hundreds of them so she should know. Never argue with a woman.
