You've got a cold ya big sook. It's not nice but you will live. Go to bed, stay warm, bit of panadol and rest and you might be better in a week or three!

Oh Heather, be kind to the man. He has no moustache to keep him warm. His dog died. AND Man Flu is a near death experence (to blokes). A little sympathy will do him a heap of good. And panadol will help too. And I'm sure he's keeping up healthy doses of rum to prevent ... I dunno, but it'll make him feel better, hey?

Poor Bob  Poor, poor Bob   Do you feel better yet?

Oh, sorry, I didn't realise it was that bad! :( Should you mix rum and panadol? Could it be because he is old now? Seems a coincidence it happened just after his 70th birthday.

I'm with you Bob, i've been suffering since Saturday & no amount of fress lemon juice & honey & rum (of course) & panadol is knocking it on the head, looks like I'm off work for the week.

for what it's worth my advice would be to go to the Doctor - my son and DIL has this or something similar and not once but 3 times in about 2 months and they are off to Vietnam next month. He followed all my motherly advice re Panadol, rest, orange juice etc etc ...He is now taking antibiotics...it is a pretty bad flu from all accounts this year.

Good Luck - and you blokes are in a warm spot - how come you got it? It's viral....has no respect for climate

Cheers

Maureen

Bob the only answer is Rum and Cloves, take 4 to 6 in quick succession it may not cure to cold but by then who cares hic.

Thank you all for your most kind thoughts. ( Even Heather as I know she means well and is not as tough as she makes out. )As most of you know Man Flu is a much more vicious strain then the one that females get. :? :?

Still I had two hours sleep and dosed up on panadol and dixtrine and did the show tonight regardless.

Off to bed now with heaps of blankets on, still would rather have someone to cuddle up to.

A great surprise as my neice was in the audience whom I have never met so had a great chinwag after the show. Maureen they come from the sunshine coast so the trip south is looking like the best option for holidays.

The kids from A B Paterson College were late so will have to catch up with them tomorrow.

Cheers Bob

Get better soon poor Bob. There is nothing more miserable than having a cold. Just don't give it to anyone else.
