Trout season opens on Thursday, season opening get together On Wednesday late afternoon and evening, sorry mate FLY FISHERS only, no riff raff.

Well....I think it's a very nice fish indeed. How very clever to use bait to catch it....I never did hear of such a thing!

Probably got that one in the photo from the fish shop, what do you reckon.

TERRY see that little thing on the side of his mouth, it is called a lure !!! a rattling spot to be precise and this little one has accounted for heaps of both barra and King in the river at Rocky.

Only use bait off the beach and estuaries but just got back from town and brought a pack of soft plastic squigglies. Gonna see how I go on flathead.

Soft squigglies? Sounds like wot I have to clean up each morning after the puppy ...

Flathead love flies, so do bream. and apparently everything love soft plastics.
