We have a sh...fight going on here at the moment about container legislation, the council wants it in but the suppliers are mounting a legal challenege, given that it is already in SA and everyone will be treated equally, I can't see what the fuss is about! Just to add a bit more confusion the government is blaming the opposition...(I'm not too sure how that works.) The government doesn't want to buy into it because they are like the federal gov., a hung parliment so they are frightened to upset anyone! It is amazing that a couple of the Aboriginal organisations have been the ones opposing the legislation in the past because they believe it would create too much hardship for the people on the low incomes!...can you believe that? I suppose an extra $3.00 a carton of VB would take a bit of absorbing into the weekly budget...

Should we address the letter like so???

Vicky Darling - I earnestly beseech you to refund monies on used bottles to help our country avoid the perils of broken glass upon our highways and byways. In the interest of the countries economy I am sure that all Australians will do their best to increase their consumption of bottled liquids to ensure a never ending supply of empty bottles to be recycled, thus ensuring ongoing employment in the many industries associated with them.

I personally pledge to drink at least a six pack every day as a token gesture of my support for this project.

Yours etc etc

Aussie Bob
