Post by Kym » Sun Oct 23, 2011 6:26 am

If anyone is curious about the significance of the "two little girls" statue, it's in memory of two young girls who drowned in the Walloon Lagoon. Henry Lawson wrote this poem about it:

Hey Sue, I'm thinking about showing up at the Hunter weekend too. Someone's gotta keep an eye on Heather. Depends on Bob and whether he can fill in for me as I have a commitment on Sunday doing Halloween poetry at the art gallery. I've begged and grovelled asking him to help me out, but I wouldn't promise to return the favour if he asked for anything that gave me an eye twitch (knowing Bob he'd take advantage of my obligatory-ness). Gotta be careful what a girl promises, hey?

Anyway, I'm trying to get to Morisset, but can't be sure yet ...

Manfred's going to Morisset too, but he's not hard to keep out of trouble. Just give him a bottle of plonk and a possum toy to stare at ...

So who's keeping an eye on who?
Just as well I'll be there to keep an eye on both of you.
Hope you do Kym, I would love to meet you. :P :P Shaping up to be a great weekend.

PLEASE BOB, PRETTY PLEASE.

Do you really think it's appropriate? Maybe other people won't find male quoll anatomy as interesting as we did ...
