Hahaha, yes, you are both right. After seeing Heather's beautifully written poem, I felt like the snake poem was silly and immature, so I took it away. I struggle to decide what "persona" I want to put out there. I think I must have a multiple personality disorder - one of me wants to be happy, outgoing, silly and make people laugh, while the other one of me wants to be sensible, respectable and mature. I don't know which one I am sometimes ...

You are both Kymmie, and you balance them both very well.
Keep the funny ones on as well as you need to get them out there.

Kym don’t be shy about your ability to do justice to a serious and meaningful poem and maintain you sense of humour and knack for the funny stuff you write, they both have a place on this and any other site and me mate I love them both.
Just keep doing what your doing.

Hey Maureen, was that picture there all along, or have you added it since your post the other day? I must have missed it - I love the granny with her shrivelled up little mouth - hilarious! Is that a pool pic or are you a cartoonist on the side?
Bob and Dave, sometimes Crazy Kym gets out of control, so I've locked her away in the dungeon for a few days til she settles down. Her medication should take effect soon.

I'm with Maureen - Bring Back The Snake!!!!!!
Kym, your poetry is always a delight to read, whether it is humorous or serious, and, as Bob says, you balance both sides of your persona very well. I would kill to be able to write humor even half as well as you do!! And your serious stuff has a depth of feeling that touches everyone who reads it.
Looking forward to reading about Gran and her snake!!

Kym there is a place for both your humerous and serious poetry and it doesn't mean you have a split personality - just that you are very clever. I love both types. If people are going to judge you by your poetry (& I seriously doubt that they do) then they don't know you and they are not worth worrying about. We love you!
