WOOLWAGON AWARDS CROOKWELL WAS A GREAT WEEKEND !!!
Who is coming to Woolwagon awards in Crookwell ?? Hosted by the Upper Lachlan Bush Poets..and the well known Spud Murphy's Inn...Crookwell.. should be a great weekend.. I have got a work training seminar in Wollongong on Monday 21st november so figured that Crookwell was not too far out of my way...to make a weekend of it..from all reports it is a great weekend of poetry compered by the legendary 'rhymer from Ryde' Graeme Johnson, who is a great writer and performance poet
..Friday night is the 'Frank Daniel Tribute night'...(worth going just for that)...performance competitions throughout saturday.. ...the winners of Woolwagon Awards written comp to be announced over the weekend. COME ON DOWN ..IT WILL BE A GREAT WEEKEND !!!!!

Look forward to seeing you there Tom, and meeting up with others from the forum. Had a lovely chat with Mrs Spud earlier today, sounds like a great weekend coming up.
Cheers

Oh,
Me too. Yep. Spud and Mrs Spud are keeping our room warm. Looking forward to an exciting weekend. Hoping to cease the chance to put faces to names of fellow site contributors.
Greg North said he will be there.. I know him, and Joe also Graeme Johnson, and I've met MartyB so that's a start.
Will get to meet Sue and perhaps Bill and who knows who else. I'm sorry I didn't make it last year when they had separate sections for ladies and gents. Exciting times ahead. I hope Laurie MacDonald comes along, he is very entertaining and maybe Peter Mace. Better stop now.

Wish I could be there it sounds like a great weekend, I feel a bit of a miser as I only entered one poem.
Anyway all you lucky people have a great time, as I'm sure you will.

Your right Bob,
The trick is getting the right poem into the right comp. (assuming the poems good enough in the first place)

Re: ANY STARTERS FOR THE WOOLWAGON AWARDS CROOKWELL ???
A lot of truth in what you're saying there Bob, and it applies to any type of competition.
I sometimes think the people who do their own thing for the sheer enjoyment of it, regardless of what it is, are the ones who get the most out of it.
I've always felt that sharing a poem (either written or recited with an appreciated audience) is as good as it gets mate.
Despite that Marty all the best in your first foray into the comps, may the force be with you.
Cheers Terry

G'day Tom...
Look forward to seeing you again at Crookwell. Morisset is a pretty tough act to follow isn't it, but I'm sure the Wool Wagons will be great. Plus the bonus for me will be getting to meet Zondrae, Mummsie and Martyboy in person. Bewdy!
We're off to Sydney tomorrow for a wedding, then will wander down to Crookwell.
See you there.
Cheers, Will.
