G'day all,

After many months of watching my tadpoles to see if they were growing legs - I heard frogs yesterday. At first I thought it was a leak in the roof. (drip, drip, drip) We have had a couple of days of rain. Then last night Wayne said "is that frogs I hear". I felt like a goose as I am the one who has wanted frogs and I didn't recognise them. I haven't seen them yet. I'm excited... I have frogs!

Yes,
we put a frog pond, in a sheltered spot, near the back of the house. So they can get under the house, in cool dark places. I knew someone who always used to have tadpoles but I was a little concerned when her new gardener took away most of the lush vegetation that used to surround her pond. I didn't want the poor little froggies to become extinct in our area. Although I have heard them calling from the stormwater drains when I go for a walk.

Now Boob,
I know you don't live in the city... but, even country towns have drains running under the roads etc. These drains have culverts at the corners of the streets with large grids and the rain water runs along them and eventually runs into the ocean.
