GONE BUSH WITH A MOP & BUCKET

G'daaay All,
I'm getting emails asking if we're still alive. Firstly, I was away doing the Harrington gig, which was top notch. No sooner back home & croc took off to help flood survivors out west. He then realised he just could not cope without my melodious voice in his 'tab' so I hooted out there to help. I cleaned up his caravan real bonza.....now he ''can't find anything.''

We came home for a week so he could have a rest. (He puts blokes a third of his age to shame in the heavy duty arena). So....he sanded & painted my bathroom, oversaw the installation of security screens, wrestled the pinch pleated curtains down... & up again, after washing (muttering that whoever invented pinch pleat hooks wants gassing)... vacuumed...& diagnosed my bro's car problems. He's had a bonza break (?) & we're off out there again tomorrow to finish off, & perform at a thank you barbie for them all...... and then, hopefully, ''sit under a bloody gidyea tree for 6 months!!!'' (well, a week or so. He's prone to embellishing.)

We've missed you but will try to find a pedal operated pc to check in from time to time. Be good. Have fun. Keeep writin'.

Cheeers
Glenny

G'daay Dave.
Firstly CONGRATULATIONS on your yarnspinning win. Well done!

It's only about 20mins from Rathdowney to here, so it would be really bonza to see you. As far as I know I'll be here....depends on where God decides to shove me....I never do know. At least life isn't boring, eh? I'll be in touch when I know for sure.
Take care & cheeers

SHE LIVES   and has forsaken forsooth her pen for mop and bucket - woe is me to see woman so downtrodden. Arise fair maid, pick up your pen and write lest precious words be lost forever to suds and drudgery.

... the above is translated to - "Just get croc a beer and DON'T FORGET TO CLEAN THE DUNNY LUV!!"

Goodonyasall!!

Hey Maureen...I love that classic touch. Tut tut Mannie. You well know that all croc does with a beer is condition his hair. If he ever ends up on life support I'll have to inform them to put black tea in his IV drip. Oh, & you're right re the dunny. It's in a right state as that's what croc uses to wash his paint brushes. Dave...croc says 'yeah g'day, me old china'. Martyboy...go to your room! On second thoughts... maybe you meant it as a compliment? I'm a bonza bush camp sheila. The funniest one was when we only had the Merc & got stumped for accommodation at 3am. So we slept in it, outside the backpackers joint. It was a tad embarrassing the next morning. Somewhat incongruous.
Anyway.....I just succeeded in evicting croc so I can get the flaming port packed....''why don't you pop next door lovey, & have a brew with our neighbours & say goodbye.'' Gone!! Faster than a heat seeking missile. Goodo. (Beats ''what's the script? I'm sat here like a *^% at a wedding''... every 5 minutes.)

Oh !!! You men!!!! Croc can get his own beer and scrub his own Dunny - Marty !!!! innuendo of a suggestive nature -again - sigh.
You are both bad

That's the way Glenny - you take that croc firmly in hand and don't take any nonsense from him. Obviously his dunny must look like a technicolour chunder if he washes paintbrushes in it, but multiple use is always good - makes for a better carbon footprint if we can re use, recyle and mend.

Take care Glenny

Oh Marty - don't take it to heart lovey it was the handling of the old copper that inflamed my passions for just a nanosecond - I so love a man in uniform - but then of course when I re read you post I realized you were referring to one of those antiquated brass monkey things that our Grandmas used to heat up over the fire to wash clothes in and then they would get all hot and steamy amidst the soap bubbles and their clothes would cling to them bit like a wet Tshirt competition and it was hot, oooooh so hot, and their long skirts just got in the way and made it even worse, and .......................... anyway enough of that. I apologise if I caused you even a moments discomfort. The other Maureen wasn't washed away in the floods she didn't even get her feet wet, but the big storms are attacking her with huge branches of immense proportions that she has to saw up into small pieces to dispose of and it is soooo hot and steamy and her clothes are clinging to her ............................ :?

She could really do with an old copper with a chainsaw - know any????

I knew you didn't mean me Marty, I'm an old pensioner :)

Great see see you back Glenny, good onions :P My heart goes out to croc, the person who invented those curtain pleat hooks should be boiled in oil, hung drawn and quartered, burnt at the stake and then some really nasty things done to them.
I'm disappointed that I missed Harrington, I heard some very goods reports on your contribution. You're always professional.
