Good one Marty, I miss the horses badly.
I might get another one of these days.
I notice he had his foot on the britchin' strap. he already had the brake on, so why tie him up.
LOL
And, hey Jess, this doesn't get you out of learning a poem or two. Looking forward to seeing you in action one of these days, perhaps Crookwell later in the year.

Hey Martyboy I don’t know a lot about horses but looking at the photo that’s a mighty small horse or a mighty high hitching rail. Nice looking horse though.

Hi Marty and Frank The saddest day in my life was when I had to come to grips with was when I had to give up horses completely My balance is gone my movements are not good enough and my legs are a thing of the past but still my memorys are still there
Wish you all the luck Frank
and Marty let me know if you are over here again and we will get together

and just so you know Dave a horse is meaured from hoof to the withers or the base of the neck where its backs start - what we humans call shoulders - and if my memory serves me correct 'a hand' height equates to 4 inches in old money - so if he is 10 hands high he is 40 inches to the shoulder - so he is big enough to carry a small person or pull a small sulky but small enough to take upstairs and have as a pet or share your bed with as long as he is not a restless type of sleeper

How good is that - multi purpose.

Oh Marty I am so sorry to hear that, Poor Jess must be shattered - but that is part and parcel of owning animals, they rely on us to do the right thing for them and not let them suffer, Oh that we could be so kind and caring to our human friends when their time comes.
Give Jess a cuddle - he is not too big.
Cheers
Maureen
