Good on ya Bob. That's it !
I remember reading a commentator who used the example of two jazz players. He said that Louis Armstrong has achieved great fame and fortune, but at the cost of being less a jazz musician and more of a commercial celebrity. Jelly Roll Morton never achieved fame and fortune , because he remained true to the authentic spirit of jazz even though that wasn't commercial. The commentator believed that made Jelly Roll Morton a greater jazz player than Louis Armstrong.
If 99% are wrong and 1% wrong that doesn't change the nature of truth.
The whole world can run after Jimmy Barnes or Fleetwood Mac but Mozart remains the great musical genius.

.....and I thought it was going to be a second helping of a single biscuit topped with an olive.
Being true to yourself, whether in art or in life brings greater satisfaction than having to bend for money or popularity. I guess the issue is whether it can pay the bills or not. The artist who can do both is very fortunate.

I was out in the rain taking photos the other day and thinking I was suffering for my art - but loving it!
