A bit of trivia

I found out something recently that I thought was interesting.
There is a prominent contemporary poet who gets regularly published in literary journals, and he writes very good serious poetry ( including rhyme and metre if you must know ) his name is Joe Dolce. I have often read his work.
I was surprised to learn that Joe Dolce was the writer of a pop song lyrics that enjoyed great success years ago. For those who remember, the song is called " Shaddap You Face " .
The song overtook Slim Dusty's Pub with No Beer for the longest no. 1 hit record in Australia.
Of course maybe everybody else already knew that. Why am I the last to find out these things.
I suppose it is likely that these days Joe Dolce doesn't enjoy much commercial reward for published artistic poetry.
