I definitely remember Simpson
Wringer Washing Machines ... but I can't say I've seen any "Ringers" - unless its the type Maureen is referring to

Ah glad to see the difference in what spelling makes when both words are said the same.
yup written English was my only subject I never passed in it at all my exams but still managed to have an average of 74% for my 6 years at tech school
