A bought a small book to-day, $16 at Big W.
The book is called Larrikins, Bush Tales & other great Australian Stories. by Graham Seal.
Graham Seal we are told is Professor of Folklore at Curtin University.
I haven't read it yet, but a quick glance through, made me think that it might appeal to the bush poets who have an interest in reading historical things. The book is a collection of anecdotes, legends and history and humorous definitions, plus a bit of bush verse. From Aboriginal stories through to modern times.
Graham Seal has also written a book called Dog's Eye and Dead Horse; The complete guide to Australian rhyming slang. Some may find that interesting.
