Neil ( alias Keats ) was lamenting recently about the demise of some of the bush poetry events, I'm afraid that I heard that the Harrington, Poets by the Sea event has been axed after three very successful years. There are reasons for this, but still a regrettable loss.

Strewth! I hope it had nought to do with me. Whaaaaa! It was a bonza turnout. We lost our 'Country & Horse Festival' too. A new bunch on the committee...'young blood'...?....chopped it into 5 days instead of 10, & decided Bush Poetry was not the go.....after over 10 flaming years of building it up to host Qld Championships....grrrr. You never know, maybe we can stir The Beaudesert Bush Bards into trying to get it pumping again? grrr.

Turn it up Neil....I'm all mellow now. A timid quiet little thing. It's ages since I used to be 'over-anxious' in the days when Johnny Philipson said 'she could talk under wet cement with a gob full of hay!' God rest his hilarious soul.
I look forward to it Neville....(I think)....as soon as it eventually arrives. We have a dyslexic postie, & it's away out in the scrub. Carrier pigeons would be a vast improvement. I hope it's nice. Joe advertised one of my CD's once by saying 'Rush out & buy one immediately. It's the only chance you'll ever have to turn her off!'
