I've got no story to go with the bears,.....but, a few years ago I was fishing in the top end just west of Dundee Beach, which is....just west of Darwin. We had steamed into a creek to catch some live bait to do some barra fishing, it was a new boat and the bloke who owned it said his missus would kill him if we went home with mud all over it, so after we had done a few casts with the throw net we went into the creek to clean the mud off the boat, the bloke up on the bow had a bucket, he was getting it full of water and handing it to me to wash off the mud, as he threw the bucket overboard it startled two big barra out fron under some snags, one shot up along the bank, the other jumped up onto the bow! He manhandled it into the anchor well and we had our first.....and last barra for the day! It was a good size fish and one fillet fed the three of us that night, it was 950mm long!......no one else believed us either.....but it is true.

No Heather, we didn't have a camera, but yes we got the mud off! it's big croc country there too, (not the poem writing, flood victim helping type of croc either) so if a barra can jump in the boat it is a bit of a worry about the lizards....
