Heather we have five kids and have at time been in that same situation, fear, near panic and cross at the same time you don’t know if you are cross with them or at yourself for taking your eye of them.
Our middle son at about 18 months went missing for quite some time I was at work with no way of contact, on arriving home found the whole street out looking and at the point of calling the Police,
When he was discovered asleep lying on the shelf of the kitchenette amongst the jam, sugar, etc with the door shut. He awoke surprised to much hugging and kissing from his Mum and cross words from his much relived Dad.
