not plastic but cardboard,

We used to have our milk delivered in cartons. We didn't get any for a few days and phoned the milko to ask why. He said they had been delivered. We didn't get them. So the next morning my husband rose early and went out as soon as the milko drove off to see the boxer (dog) from down the road trotting home with our carton of milk held gently between its huge teeth. We went along later and spoke to the owner who laughed and said "I wondered where he was getting all those milk cartons." He thought the dog was raiding someones bin and licking out empty cartons. I can't remember who paid for the missing milk.

Now you see Zondrae, if your milk had been in bottles the dog couldn't have pinched it. Very funny. Can just imagine the dog trotting down the road with the milk in its jaw.

I managed the local supermarket and they would deliver the bagged milk in long tubs made a real mess if one had leaked as the bottom would be full of milk and you had to clean the lot.

I used to like the milk in plastic bags
though your patience they could test
but of all the bagged milk I've tasted
The natural bags were best.
