Had a top weekend away at the North Pine Festival, then came back to a Brazillion applications for forum membership ....

gicsoccuppozy, Albogus, MeabecicNusia, berriexabralo, neleFlepinenE, Coimmiste, Absottems, damic, daxNonsdola, faveftrader, fEntrepTransci, Sulleynen, NeetriemE, blulleyGate, AlleriCep, hypnosispowerin, mihafkhan, enargerydrack, Japejoype, MIBETOTTATA, SEO_optimalizace, Sleessurgek, MiyeonnLuba, georgeir, outlivaruinia, hypnosisttsydau, foormorex, Accunseslup, celpancelialk, juspesego, Csyj76, proodykeype, qfrika19, Voxuncesseles, pletcherpie, Brispawprop, nibenommobe, speeriautepsy, Nike Air Max, ZexDeameHem, TheParsonator, wxrkmooeep, Restatmestabs, ruibiscuisita, BernieIGillespie(sneaky casino bastard), Kyggjgsd, Pefeagets, RoassynakGync, managersrs, Jelmessevenum, saplewayday, pompalamas, PonsCigarettes, meplogilo, davidkent(suss).
... and that's all over this last weekend ... :(

I have a manual system for checking the bona-fides, but it can be a bit time consuming as well as cluttering up my mail-box. I think our hard-working secretary also cops all this mail.

I'm looking at ways of effectivly managing this crap and was thinking about the merits of making the forum "closed" so that the only way for a 'newbie' to apply would be by email to a specific ABPA email address with a 'human' name.
Given the amount of 'legitimate' applications for forum membership, a manual process would not be a great overhead.

Would be interested in your thoughts on this, AND/or any suggestions ...

Cheers,

Manfred.
