From time to time the name Edward Harrington is mentioned on ABPA posts.

His personal biography etc can readily be found on-line for anyone interested in such things.

Also on Wikipedia there is a listing of his five main publications of which I have been fortunate to obtain over the years all except Songs of War and Peace.

1. Boundary Bend and Other Ballads (1936) 2 copies

One copy is signed "To Margaret Watson, with best wishes from Edward Harrington, Melbourne Dec 3rd 1936" Scarce.

2. My Old Black Billy and Other Songs of the Australian Outback (1940)
I would class this as RARE.

3. The Kerrigan Boys (1944) 3 copies, incl. one leather bound.
Hard to find. Scarce.

4. The Swagless Swaggie and Other Ballads (1957)
Usually available, priced at A$40 - $50 all up. Fair price.

5. Songs of War and Peace (1920)

Not all of Edward Harrington's writing is contained in these books. Apparently he also published in "Bohemia", the journal of the Bread and Cheese Club (Melb)

For example, the following scan of an original historic newspaper-clipping (1956) in my sole possession describes the handing over of a poem written by Edward Harrington that was transcribed onto velum in Old English lettering and given to (previously referenced on another of my posts) Mr. J. K. Moir of The Bread and Cheese Club. (Melb)... very interesting!
