RESULTS FROM THE IPSWICH POETRY FEAST 2012
Here is the official list of poetry winners from our recent Poetry Feast - you should recognize a few familiar names but check out the number of entries by the children.
One school only has a student body of 50 and yet 33 of those kids submitted entries - how good is that.
Entertainment for the night was provided by Brenda Joy adding a real Aussie flavour to the proceedings and Mannie was there looking very suave in his Akubra, it was a shame that he didn't get up and do a performance for the audience though . Did they not ask?

Thanks for that Maureen. I see that you are an award winner. Congratulations
Young Eddie's is very impressive. Talented and surely had some good teaching.
I notice that it seems to be one of those " shape " poems, looks like a chess piece ??

Thanks Maureen for accepting( Highly Commended Open Adult ) for me, I had to ask that Jennifer not publish my poem as I'm doing a rework and hopefully it will do better in the future.
Cheers Bob

Hi everyone, I have been away and not checked in to the site for quite a while but just want to say sincere Congrats to all prizewinners at Ipswich - it's a great competition and sounds like you all had a lot of fun on the night! It's wonderful to see so many entries from children too...and special thanks to Judge Manfred! x
