The Red Wattle Bird

THE RED WATTLE BIRD

Every morning the visitor comes,
GAK he says GAK.
He prances his umber plumage
with cream trim
and flashes his blushing cheeks.
GAK.
That’s a real nervous twitch there birdy.

With his sickle beak
he reaps the nectar from the grevillea flowers,
hmmm strawberries and cream.
GAK he cries GAK.

Yep, I can just picture the scene, Neville!

Love "reaping the nectar" with his "sickle beak"!
