Haiku - THE COLOURS OF AUSTRALIA

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Tue Oct 05, 2021 10:10 am

A grouping of 3 individual Haiku that can stand alone but also work well if put together

THE COLOURS OF AUSTRALIA ... Maureen Clifford © The #ScribblyBarkPoet

beneath char grey clouds
leaning over black water –
three old she oaks watch

rusted red ironbarks
clinging to a stony ridge –
tough as nails

the scent of honey
kilometres of yellow –
melaleuca blooms

Well done Maureen,
I like the way you have kept the colour and tree theme carry through, very clever!

Fantastic imagery, Maureen. three old she oaks watch - love this, and totally agree with how evocative it is and the consistent theme - lovely haiku!
