A Young Girls Tears

Post by Zondrae » Wed Oct 19, 2011 11:53 am

Our latest homework topic.

Young Girl’s Tears
 Zondrae King (Corrimal) 10/11

When very young, not even one, a girl will come to know
that Daddy is a push over as soon as her tears show.
For Daddy’s heart is not so tough, although he tries to hide
his softness from the outside world, she see his tender side.

Before she even had a name she’d captured Daddy’s heart
and with the first breath that she took she set herself apart.
Oh yes, her mother loved her too but every young girl knows
that Daddy will protect her, from her curls down to her toes.

She grows and as she learns to walk she’ll suffer many falls.
Her tears will bring him running. Yes, he hurries when she calls.
For Bawl she will and pretty soon she learns it’s quite a trick,
she finds that one loud wail will bring her Daddy running quick.

He worries, as she’s growing, will someone do her wrong.
He shows a tough appearance and he acts as though he’s strong.
Take warning all you fellas for she mustn’t be mislead.
It’s he who guards her reputation ‘til the day she’s wed.

Then even when she has a fine young man there at her side
he finds it hard to let her go although she is a bride.
The Young girls tears, are tears of joy, her happiness to show.
Her groom will now protect her and Dad loudly tells him so.

And come the day a grand daughter is born into this world
the circle will begin again with Granddad’s love’s unfurled.
Another one who needs protection in the coming years
and Granddad hopes that she will never shed a young girl’s tears.

Nice Zondrae. I have three younger sisters, so my daughter failed with the little girl sympathy tactic as a push over ....... usually
