Brand Games
Our troops march to the games in green and gold;
On foreign fields to make their sacrifice,
Where, will play out, the plans of men and mice.
But lots of Coca Cola will be sold,
Much of it laced with rum and icy cold.
The troops are young and fit, they sure look nice,
They smell of Dove, Rexona and Old Spice;
They’re tested for B.O., or so I’m told.
The commentators’ teeth are white as snow.
They prattle on with fixed and blinding smiles.
Their skins with magic powders are aglow.
No doubt the older ones are nursing piles;
A chance to launch an enterprising scheme
To flog a sporty hemorrhoidal cream.
