I suppose I was just a bit disappointed that we hadn't seen the winners and any other place getters placed on this site before your post.
I can't get the radio station.

OK I scrubbed the comment. :)

I still don't know who the winner is ???

Congratulations to Zondrae for a well-deserved place amongst the winners.

The little hall at Freshwater was packed on Wednesday morning for the broadcast. The biggest winners were Bush Poetry and the local CWA ladies who raised over $500 from a simple gold coin donation entry.

1st place went to Cairns poet Jim Egan for his poem Where the Ole Endeavour Flows.
Zondrae was second with The Hem of Her Apron.
3rd place was Bev Wilson from Julatten with her poem Bushman's Paradise.

Was great to hear the interviews Fiona conducted with Brenda Joy, Leonie Parker and Zondrae - could put a voice to the face.

Thanks to all ABPA forum members who contributed work thus enriching this humble little competition. There'll be a wrap-up submitted for the next magazine edition.

Cheers, Marty

Thanks ABC FNQ.

I am so impressed with the enamel plaque that was awarded to the weekly winners of this radio contest. I am definitely having mine framed for the wall. The second place prize was also a welcome one. Over the past 10 years I have had some success but very few trophies to display, so I am still not jaded as far at this is concerned. The cash came in handy too.
