G'day Bill,

It's OK with me if it's OK with him. As a matter of fact, I have been reviving 'Mrs Mickey's Menu' to do at Dapto in July. I haven't recited it for years.

I know I have been slack in venturing into the vocal world. It is just that I have trouble fitting in all that I have on my plate, at the moment, let alone make time for recording as well.

Also, I went into the garage band recording softwear on my Mac and recorded , what I thought was an ok version of 'Uncle Clyde' and saved it. When I went to listen to it again, the next day, and decide if it was good enough to send in, I couldn't find it. Since then I haven't had time to 'play' with the softwear. I'll have to send Wayne fishing one day so I have the house to myself.

You wouldn't believe my calendar for the next week!!~

Zondrae have a look in HardDrive>Users>Your Name>Music>Garageband otherwise it may just be in your music folder. Did you name it? Do a spotlight search top right of menu (magnifying glass.)

Thanks everyone. I can not get to hear the judges as they do not stream on line but from what i can figure it will depend a lot on audience votes is that right Marty ? Thay tell me that they are recording my poem to be read on air over the next four weeks.

Good Luck Marty

G'day Bob, all the top rating poems will be recorded and played spasmodically until well after the comp has ended, also as far as I know they do stream, happens at 10.30 every Monday morning.

It's a panel of three judges only, Bob - there's Veronica Weal, award winning bush poet - Kevin Shorey, a local theatre identity and Dave Maiden, rugby league coach.
The rugby league coach had your poem top of the pile, Bob - but the other two thought otherwise.

I was quite surprised - and chuffed - to turn the radio on in the ute yesterday morning to hear none other than the ABC's Kerry O'brien reading my poem. Big Red Kezza reciting your work: where to from here

Cheers, Marty

ps. Bob, last year they had a Peoples Choice award where the public get to vote for their favourite poem, but it is only out of the finalists which are the weekly winners (over 9 weeks I think).
