A poem about my poem called "A"

A poem about my poem called "A"

I'm feeling so happy, I'm feeling quite gay;
They’ve published my modernist poem called A.
I got the great news from the postman today;
They’re simply adoring my poem called A.
They've given an 'A' to my mini essay;
They say it is great in a singular way.
It’s daring, progressive, insightful they say;
A poetry gem is my masterpiece, A.
They say for more poems they’re willing to pay,
So since I’ve composed this magnificent A,
I’ll harness my brainpower and try hard and see,
If I can compose a new classic called B.

Here is my Poem 'A' for you to read

A

I do hope you enjoyed it

Did it take long to write 'A'? It has a rather unusual rhyme going on., but no doubt if as Zondrae says you polish it - it will really shine even more than the judges think it does now. Perhaps you could expand it a little, hold the readers interest just a little longer perhaps - but overall a fine effort. :P :P :P :P :P

Looking forward to reading 'B; - are these perhaps the start of an alphabet series? :shock:

Ron and Heather - thanks.
Maureen, the initial draft of "A" I did quite quickly but then I kept
returning to, as you say, "polish" it.
I don't say that it is perfect but it's pretty close IMHO. :|

I have 25 others in the pipeline. ;)

Thought this was worthy of a little more 'sharing' so featured it on our ABPA Facebook Page. How is B coming along Dennis?

Well Rhubarb and custard is one of those old fashioned desserts that is often overlooked as being ordinary but take a mouthful and your tastebuds zing. :lol: :lol:
