Zondrae,
what I do is write my posts in Word, edit them and then copy and paste them into the forum.

Re: please, please and if not why not!
Could you replace that troublesome mouse with a wire less mouse Zondrae??? Would that make a difference or is this some part of the computer set up that causes the problem? Can you Google up some info to help you work it out - it would be an absolute pain to have everything you do being deleted.
Maybe some one here uses the same system and can help you out.
Re typing in the dark I use a little LCD light a press button battery job that sticks onto the side of the console where the computer is that I can use without affecting anyone else who might be watching TV or whatever, it throws enough light over the keyboard to see what I am doing...Cost about $8 from Big W
Cheers

Hi Zondrae
Frank's suggestion is a good one because you can use Word's spell-check, but I may be able to help with the mouse problem. I have a Mac with OS X Version 10 (Snow Leopard) and a wireless mouse. If I use two fingers on the mouse to swipe sideways to the left (I've just done it with this) the computer flips to the previous screen and it appears that what I've been typing vanishes. But it hasn't..a two-finger swipe to the right brings it back again. I suspect that when moving the mouse you're accidentally swiping two fingers across the top and seeming to lose what you've written. If you want to avoid this nuisance altogether make sure there's only one finger (or none) on the upper surface of the mouse as you move it. The sideways swipe only works on the ABPA website if you use two fingers. Try it and see what happens. Hope this sorts it out...I think the mouse is magic!
Cheers

Re: please, please and if not why not!
Good morning,
That's what friends are for. Thanks for all the suggestions. It sounds like David has the answer regarding the disappearing text. I will admit I have been lazy and leaving all the softwear details to my son-in law. I do remember he said 'Snow Leopard' at the time we changed from PC to Mac. It is a wireless super mouse. I like the wireless-ness. I had a 'tail-less' one before. I tend to have my thumb at one side and my little finger at the other side and rest two or three fingers on the top of the mouse. I may get a headlight or desk lamp to use when typing at night. (gee I'm getting fussy in my old age)
Joe, that is a good idea. If I do everything in Word first I will automatically have an archive of my posts as well.
Now I have to get ready to go to IBP meeting. I'm in the chair at the moment so I have the key, can't be late.
THANKS EVERYONE.

The other option Zondrae is to go back over your posts a squillion times like I do and try to fix them all up.
