Thinking of our mate and fellow bush poet Terry Regan upon the passing of his dear wife Dulcie in December 2010.
Thinking of you and the family Terry.

For all who have lost a loved one my thoughts and prayers are with you. Mu old Dad has been gone 2 years this is Mums 2nd Christmas without him and we miss him, but we all feel his presence is near.
We have a new baby due in the New Year - the first boy sine my son was born 44 years ago and Dad would be over the moon about that. I wrote this for him but I think it applies to everyone.
WE LIVE IN HEARTS WE LEAVE BEHIND.
We may not live forever, despite how hard we try.
We cannot alter fate nor the future espy.
A truth untold will always be just another lie.
It’s said - To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Someone, somewhere remembers. Someone will tell a tale.
Somewhere a heart beats faster, whilst many more will fail.
Somewhere new life is starting, whilst elsewhere life departs.
We do not die if somewhere we live in someone’s heart.
We can’t live without water, we can’t live without food.
There’s many know nothing of love, it’s soft and tender mood.
But there are those whose kindness and willingness to try
Inspire others to do better...in someone’s heart they’ll never die.
And what a gift to leave behind...good memories and smiles.
For we can carry those with us along life’s darkest miles.
A small light in the darkness which can bring us warmth and cheer.
We never die if held within the heart's of people dear.

Go well folks and just remember that your loved one is just in another room - you may not be able to see them but they are still there.
Cheers
Maureen

Lovely Maureen. It was my grandmother's birthday last Friday. She'll never be forgotten as long as I draw breath. We will miss her Christmas pudding this year.

Thinking of Rod Nichols who passed away 22nd December 2007.
Rod was a Cowboy Poet who had a poetry forum called the Old Rockin R and always made Australian bush poets welcome. Made some good friends on the site.
Thinking of Rod's family.

Great artical in the local Bulletin on Rays funeral today 22/12/10. A gentleman and a blattler to the end. As his son said dad always took the scenic route so thats why he stuck around so long.
