It's been a bit quiet around here so I've dug this out of the archives. Didn't do any good in a comp., but the judge did like my punctuation! And before you think I'm sad and sentimental - it's just a poem based on a photograph. I don't need counselling or a shoulder to cry on!

That's very good Heather. I wouldn't worry about lack of success in a comp where the judge's main comment seems to be about punctuation.

Never worries me really Neville. The main comment wasn't about punctuation but it was a judge who is very particular about punctuation

Wazza, it is a sad reflective poem so I guess I did my job as a writer! But, it's a gorgeous sunny autumn day so don't be sad any longer! Enjoy your day!

Teacher's pet Terry - ha! It's been a frustrating road and I don't know that I'll ever master it - but I plod away and I take notice of what is said (although I don't necessarily always agree ) Just a rebel at heart Terry; ask Neville !

That's a delightful little poem, Heather. Not the subject matter, but the way it is written.
