Again a tidy up is in need I apologize for the rawness of this poem. I never did learn the correct use of grammatical symbols so to tidy and edit would be a haphazard attempt on my part.
I write in a bound book or in a notepad on my phone so I type them up as I have written them.
Anyhow I will hold back on posting others after this one for a bit.

When you left my life you took a piece of me with you.
Now I live like this to kill whats left makes me feel blue.
Each shot that passes my lips as I empty the glass
are like bullets in the night eliminating the past.

The words of an old friend ring clear in my emotional decline.
Cowboy up my brother Life's gonna turn out just fine
I get back on the saddle of life and prepare for the ride
With a new found hope in my heart and a promise to abide.

Prepare for the good and bad in this life as there's one thing I now know
Hold tight in life as it bucks and twists to get you off its just part of the show
When you get thrown from that saddle and feel a sinking in your heart
Get back up and try again for that's not where it ends but just a small part

So i pick myself up and dust myself off , decide to put the bottle away.
Get life back on track live for the now for I'm sure ill see u again some day.
Though god took you from me and he shattered my soul.
He had a reason I'm sure, still I am left in this misery hole.

With my promise to keep I begin this ride once again
I continue this journey until it comes to the end.
Though your not here beside me I feel you watching over me from above.
With your guidance I will live on in this life till we meet again and rekindle our love.
