Life is Too Short

This time of the year I generally have a good look at myself and do nothing about it.

So I wrote this poem to myself.

LIFE IS TOO SHORT.
© M M ( Mal ) Beveridge 3rd Jan 2014.

Life is too short for our anger or hate
Too few are our days.
Carbuncles of pique can open a gate
so setting our ways.

Space between words is a gulf in the mind.
Words must have a voice
lest sleeping they lie and never will find
the links of a choice.

Life is too short and our time is so near,
though endless the road.
Loved ones can pass while we look to the rear.
Ahead lies our load.

Could be a bit more optimistic for the new year Mal :) ;)

Full of optimism, Nev. Just reminding myself not to sweat the small things. :)
