you tend to have the ability to set them in concrete!

Matt, I find that listening to great music inspires the urge for poetry, reading great poetry inspires the urge for creative art , wonderful paintings inspire feeling for great music, and so on in any combination,

because all the good stuff does the same thing, it touches the soul in an ineffable way. That's what your poem says to me anyway. Perhaps a distant echo of Fern Hill.

Goodonya Matt. The change of pace in the rhythm of your poem is well suited to the mood and theme, good creative approach I reckon; brings the reader to pause and contemplate the images.
