you tend to have the ability to set them in concrete! 8-)

Matt, I find that listening to great music inspires the urge for poetry, reading great poetry inspires the urge for creative art , wonderful paintings inspire feeling for great music, and so on in any combination, :) because all the good stuff does the same thing, it touches the soul in an ineffable way. That's what your poem says to me anyway. Perhaps a distant echo of Fern Hill.

Goodonya Matt. The change of pace in the rhythm of your poem is well suited to the mood and theme, good creative approach I reckon; brings the reader to pause and contemplate the images.
