It's only right to demand an explanation.
There are those who tell us what it's all about;
How do they know,
Have they been there,
Did they shine a light in the darkness
Where we stumble.
Those with the glib answers
Know nothing.

I want to cry. There is such a sense of longing, of restlessness and of questions without answers in this poem.

I think that most of us have something like that tucked away and hidden in the memory banks that's still too raw to even contemplate sharing.
